Abstract

The article presents the results of forecasting and mineragenic studies of the territory of the Pripyat trough. A methodology for predictive mineragenic zoning for potassium salts (scale 1:200,000), based on structural and formational analysis of salt-bearing formation deposits, is proposed. The potassium content of the territory of the Pripyat trough was assessed, and the methodological basis for zoning the Pripyat potassium basin was developed. The criteria for the conditions for the accumulation of potassium salts are characterized, a set of assessment parameters for the identified taxa is substantiated, and a technological scheme for the forecast-mineragenic zoning of the potassiumbearing subformation of the Pripyat Trough is outlined.

Abstract

The article describes structure of the surface of the Upper Visean deposits of the Carboniferous system of the Pripyat trough and adjacent territories using an updated structural map of the named formations. The map shows the distribution of the Upper Visean deposits, fragmentary in places, and the text notes the structural features of the studied surface, formed under the influence of faults and salt tectonics, and provides a description of the identified positive and negative local structures.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the complex interpretation of geological data: the nature of formations, the time of their formation, and their distribution are determined; an analysis of their temporal and lateral sequence was carried out. This made it possible to establish the patterns of development and change of geodynamic settings over time, to determine the structure and main stages of formation of the Paleozoic structures of the earth’s crust of the Kitab terrane.

Abstract

The article analyzes the data of geophysical studies of the North-Uvarovichy area of the Pripyat-Dnieper Region of Late Devonian magmatism obtained in different years. The size of volcanic structures according to drilling data and area geophysical works in plan does not exceed 1.5 km. Volcanoes are confined to the periphery of the area of reduced gravitational and magnetic fields with a diameter of about 10 km. At the same time, they are expressed as negative anomalies (up to –0.3 mGl) of the gravitational field. In the magnetic field ΔT in most cases they are distinguished as positive (up to +300 nTl) anomalies. At the intersection of regional geophysical profiles SOGT XIV0116–18 and XVI0119–20, a seismic image of the funnel-shaped body of the Uvarovichy paleovolcano was traced, confined to a fault of northwestern strike with a steep angle of incidence to the southwest.

Abstract

The article considers the possibilities of using geoelectric methods (electrical prospecting) for diagnostics of various types of technogenic pollution of the urban geological environment. The complex of methods includes: soil, ground and water resistance measurement; electrical profiling (EP) and vertical electrical sounding (VES) using the resistance method; survey of the potential and potential gradient of the natural electric field (EF); observations of technogenic stray currents. The studies were conducted on the territory of the city of Gomel. The tasks to be solved: study of salinization of urban soils by the resistivity method and assessment of its impact on the vital state of tree plantations; assessment of chemical contamination of grounds in the aeration zone and groundwater, establishment of the probable source of groundwater contamination; identification of corrosion-hazardous zones and leaks from pipelines. The examples presented in the article show that geoelectric methods can effectively solve the problems of monitoring the state of the geological environment of cities.

Abstract

The author’s method of express analysis of acoustic well logging diagrams is considered in the article. The expressanalysis allows to split the acoustic logging curve into local areas with elevated DT values and identify promising intervals of the section for their further study.
The results of testing the method of express analysis of acoustic logging diagrams on the example of a number of deep wells located in the South Rechitsko – Vishanskaya – South Vishanskaya regional zone of local uplifts and adjacent to it structural bottom of the Chervonoslobodsko-Malodushinskaya tectonic stage of the Pripyat Trough is presented. The object of study is Semiluki sediments of subsalt oil-and-gas bearing complex of the Pripyat Trough.

Abstract

The article presents the results of study of crystalline rocks of the underexplored ore site “Aziory”, located in the west of Belarus. The types and varieties of rocks are identified, their mineralogical, petrographic and geochemical features are determined. The main attention is paid to formations that have been subjected to varying degrees of hydrothermal and metasomatic effects. The interval of ore mineralization has been clarified. It has been established that the “Aziory” occurrence is metallogenically specialized for non-ferrous, rare and noble metals and belongs to a sulfide-polymetallic vein-type ore formation.

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of watered intervals of the Late Devonian clay-marl strata, carried out with scientific and methodological support for the excavation of mine shafts within the industrial site of the Petrikov mining administration (hereinafter referred to as the Petrikov RU). The practical significance of the conducted research is to ensure safe operation of mine shafts at the Petrikov RU.

Abstract

The work is devoted to geochemical studies of complex mineralization of the Jangakly ore occurrence, located in the Malguzar Mountains. In the course of the research, it was clarified that the ore occurrence is confined to the Zirabulak fault zone. Sandy-shale deposits are folded into small narrow folds of sublatitudinal strike, complicated by a number of steeply dipping faults of northwestern strike. As a result, extended zones of crumpling and crushing of rocks were formed. The zones are accompanied by metasomatic transformations of rocks, series of quartz veinlets and lenses.
